Exam Stress: What do I do? And what we shouldn't!

Last few days before exams?
Do you feel like your head is going to explode with all the information?
Or do you feel like its finally time to start?
Just when you think its time to start worrying, let me tell you, DON'T!

Research has shown that stress reduces people’s ability to deal with large amounts of information. Both decision-making and creativity are impaired because people are unable to take account of all the information available.
This has been explained with the help of an inverted U.

This graph very effectively explains to us how much stress should we let our mind handle.
On that note, Let me tell you means I use to keep my stress on the low.

Dance :

Do yourself a favour, keep aside your books, turn up the volume, and just dance like nobody is watching you!
Why?
  • Participating in dance can help increase your self esteem and confidence to study better.
  • Helps the circulation.
  • Dance keeps both the body and the brain active, vital for people of every age.
Drink a lot of water:

This is a no brainer. You drink water, you stay healthy. Water makes sure that our blood flow is normal. blood takes up nutrients and oxygen to our brain.

Keep your caffeine on low:

I'm guilty of not following this advice. But try apple instead. Research shows that apples are better than coffee for stay awake. Caffeine boosts your speed but not your skill.

 Meditation:

Anyone can practice meditation. It's simple and inexpensive, and it doesn't require any special equipment. And you can practice meditation wherever you are — whether you're out for a walk, riding the bus, waiting at the doctor's office or even in the middle of a difficult exam.

 Follow a timetable:

Every morning sit for 5 minutes make a timetable that you can follow throughout the day. Tick off whatever is done and at the end of the day and  count items that you HAVE done.

Stay close to people that are full of positive energy:

Keep people who are more optimistic close rather than pessimistic. Pessimists have a tendency of affecting our performance in bad way. They help in increasing our stress level beyond the optimal range. And on the same note stay positive and reflect the same to others .

All the for exams.
